they're lovely to look at, but so dowdy on me. what am i doing wrong?? i can't tell if it's about proportions or whether it's my body type/height.

I love them lately too! I think the key to them might be a menswear-like shoe.
So I found this amazing long silk skirt, similar to the ones in these pics, at Japanese Thrift (in PP, there's a thrift store that only imports stuff from Japan, go figure), and I've been looking at it for months now. I'm still worried I'll look really crunchy with it.
But it is an amazing find.

me too, erica. i also have a hard time pulling off longer lengths but i agree with alexa on combining it with a pair of simple, flat shoes.
