Open backs are my new favorite!!! ANYONE can do that first look: just cut straight across the back of your sweater; maybe cut a little banana-style shape if the hole doesn't open up enough for you. A felted (or very tightly knit) sweater will work best so it doesn't unravel too much! (I'm off to try this now.)
