this morning i went to the sakura matsuri (japanese festival). the lines for sushi were too long so i spent most of my time admiring the vintage kimonos and fabrics. i picked up a vintage tenugui...i will show you tomorrow.

on a sad note, the rain and wind blew away the cherry blossoms in my neighborhood last night. it was so magical to see the hundreds of little petals strewn all over the ground...looked as if it had just snowed.

I am incredibly excited for the one in New York the first weekend of May. I hope they have vintage kimonos, too. I dream of owning one! The blossoms popping up everywhere are so beautiful.

I had to work all last weekend, otherwise I would have fone to the Japanese festival too. Love your blog. . . can't believe you live in Silver Spring, Md (that's not to be said with offense, it just always strikes me as "wonderful news" when other bloggers live in same area as me).
