I've been missing Baltimore....made a quick stop at the American Visionary Art Museum yesterday afternoon and couldn't take my eyeballs off the vibrant work of Henry Darger. And thank goodness...for the longest time, I've been scratching my head trying to figure out who drew this!

I love Henry Darger. I went to a show of his recently in Chelsea and got to wander around pages of his book. it was pretty amazing.
ooo I really love him so. I live in Chicago so there seems to be always a little buzz about him..I heard they are going to reconstruct his apartment...at the moment I can't remember where/which museum is going to do it though. Should be interesting, maybe. I guess he's a canidate for that question, "who would you care to meet, past or present?"..I'd love to know what he was actually thinking, instead of all the interpretations we're left with :)
